Joint aspiration (arthrocentesis)
Arthrocentesis is the drainage of fluid accumulated in a joint (effusion). It quickly relieves pressure, pain and inflammation, and sometimes helps with the diagnosis.
Book appointmentWhen is it indicated?

Frequently asked questions
Will the fluid build up again?
It depends on the cause. That's why, as well as draining, we treat the underlying problem to reduce relapses.
